Wow. John Day. I’d guess it’s three or four hours to the Tri-Cities and five or six to Portland. Not sure about the distance to Boise, but it’s probably closer.
It’s an awesome place if you’re interested in paleontology. Lots of digs and remnants volcanic activity.
